It depends who i am sending the text to. If its one of my daughters then yes i text speak, if its my mum the i type out in full.

i dont, i used to in the days when the amount of characters you could send in a text message was a lot less. but now days you can send half a esay in a text so theres no need

Not keen on it, I use some abbreviations like "u" and "r" when I write a longish text... but as I love languages it does not quite sit right with me...

will use u and ur to help keep a message short but full sentences and punctuation for me. I hate getting texts in text speak as it takes me longer to work out what they are trying to say

Depends on who I'm texting... if it's someone on here then I kind of take my cue from them... they use abbreviations etc, then I'll use a few... otherwise I'm a longhand guy... complete with punctuation and appropraite capitalisiation...

but I think that is about it.. I even spell you as it is.. instead of u.

I sometimes get texts from my son or my daughter and I have to ring them to ask what it meant.
