Thomson Dream cruise

Embarking on my first cruise on Friday. Everyone that I've spoken to says that it's a brilliant holiday, but I'd love to hear if anyone has any specific tips about this ship, or things I should pack or?? And if anyone is on the same trip, would love to say Hello

It's called Adriatic Explorer. Also tried looking for shore excursions as alternative to Thomson ones.

Done a fair few cruises, never felt trapped. The boats are big enough and have a variety of areas from loud to secluded.

Treat it is a floating hotel where you go to bed in one city and wake up in another.

We very rarely take the ship's excursions as they are usually expensive but just go for a walk by ourselves.

Also the ship is usually very quiet when in a popular port so everyone is ashore, that's can be a nice day by the pool!

I took too many jumpers. Went on the excursions they were great. Was really nice just to be looked after and fed for a week without worrying about anything. Loved waking up in a different place daily. Wasn't too keen on the entertainment so found a quiet place to read or play cards. Have a super time

Thanks.... We accept that a few hours ashore are just a 'taster', but we do enjoy a nice stroll rather than being herded on and off a coach.

Oh... I was rather hoping the evening entertainment would be the highlight. Usually find hotel based evenings to be a little lacklustre normally.

What we saw was good, just not our thing every night. I'm sure you'll enjoy it , they put a lot of effort in . Get there early for a decent seat!

Sharm El Sheik it was shocking dirty room food wasn't up to much pool area wasn't clean I've stayed in better B&B in Blackpool
