Pop this in the Spain forum also, (if you haven't already), lots of help in there, good luck!

Check out Holiday autos

They are good secure decent prices and will give you a variety of companies and vehicles with true honest customer ratings included

My work here is done I’m off for dinner

Ellesmere Port

I've been using DoYouSpain.com for years. They're a broker and will pitch the deals from various hire companies to you.

Be wary of 'take out full, bring back empty' rentals. They will sting you more for the tank of fuel than the difference in going full/full or empty/empty.

See if you can check out how the Collision Damage Waiver works too. The ones that are with the hire company are best. As long as you bring it back driveable, they won't give a toss. The ones where you have to claim from a third party are more problematic. Some hire companies will bill you for trivial damage, and then you have to try to claim it back.

I'm not saying "don't do it" if it's by far the cheapest option. But it's worth a bit extra to get the full CDW from the hire company.

Don't lock your keys in the boot, along with all of your luggage, just as you're about to drive to the airport. I managed to do that last year.

Never had any trouble with Record Go, whatever you do avoid any of the no name off-site firms
