London Waterloo

Talking on a mobile phone while driving is more dangerous than being over the legal alcohol limit, according to research.

They want to ban it. Will be making it illegal to speak to passengers next.

Hands free isn't illegal. Plenty of evidence and dead people show talking on mobile whilst driving is dangerous.

If you think you're right to talk is more important than innocent people's lives then I'm sorry but you're a Muppet.

There is some science behind why hands free conversations are more dangerous than conversations with passenger. A passenger can assess what is happening on the journey and stop talking at times when the driver needs to concentrate. People on the phone can't and so carry on blabbering on regardless.

I stopped using my hands free when I realised how much it actually distracted me. Now IOS11 turns off alerts while driving so the journey is now peaceful, even when I’ve forgotten to turn it to silent
