Hello Folks, I'm sure you have all been in this situation where things are not going to plan with the move; you feel frustrated, angry, worried and sometimes tearful. I must say that Fab has been my saviour when I haven't been able to sleep. Reading the forums have made me chuckle and taken my mind off things. Any suggestions for coping with the stress would be greatly appreciated (apart from the obvious lol) and any jokes to make me laugh would be good too.

Thank you in advance chaps

Just take each problem as it come's and peace will be restored before you know it!

I have no intention of ever moving into a house that need's renovating by myself ever again I know that!

Thank you I'm trying to practice the breathing I learnt at yoga class. It helps a bit. Thankfully no major work needed to the house lol

Moving is the most stressful thing you can do. And trust me it never goes as smoothly as you'd like. Even if you like it pretty rough.

Just don't worry it will always get done. One cardboard box at a time. And try and get out of the house to unwind. It's good to get away from the move and enjoy your new surroundings.

Are they tenants too, because there may be something in their tenancy agreement about not being disruptive to neighbours?

All I can remember is that you shouldn't arrange to complete on a Friday in case there's a problem with the money going through, although that was pre-internet days, so it may have changed.

Remember to cancel your utilities and take a final meter reading on the day you move, and don't be tempted to leave a load of shit behind if it's not been agreed in the contract, otherwise you get fined.

It's also worth reading through the contract and freehold documents yourself as solicitors have been known to miss vital stuff like a new road or HS2 going through your garden. Also is it a shared freehold as you might have to become a Director in a LLP.

Fingers crossed that no one in your chain pulls out (Once you've exchanged contracts you should be OK as there's no going back!)

Almost felt like Phil Spencer there for a few minutes, now if only I had his looks!!!
