Cruel ‘pull a pig’ prank .

I was reading about this Woman who flew to Amsterdam to meet her lover only to find out it was a prank. Sophie 24, initially met him while on holiday in Barcelona in August and the pair stayed in touch.

After they slept together, she believed they had a “proper romance” and later decided to fork out £350 to visit him in his hometown, Amsterdam. he failed to show up at the airport when she arrived - despite being in contact with her up until then.

Sophie says she only heard from him six hours later when she arrived at her hotel in the Dutch capital, and he text her to tell her she’d been ‘pigged’.

"You were pigged," his heartless message read along with two pig face emojis. “It was a joke.”

“How could you be so cruel though!” she replied.

He then blocked her.

Sophie, flew home the next morning, said “Pulling a pig is where a guy tries to pull the fat, ugly girl.

Thing is she is not a fat or ugly as seen her pics...... How nasty and not a joke ... I really hope he end up paying in some way for doing this . Lots here get people leading them on ... see its all part of peoples Games they play and they find it a joke and its not .

I used to work with a couple of younger lads. They would brag about how many "pigs" they had pulled between them on a night out. I used to say that one day they would get what's coming to them. And sure enough one Monday morning one of the guys had the biggest black eye and missing front tooth. He picked the wrong "pig" A few weeks earlier and she found out about the stunt. She told her brother who happened to be an enormous bloke. He found him the following weekend and "had a word" with the lad. Looking at the lad the "words" landed on his mouth, nose, eye and ribs. I did laugh. Please note that my use of the word pig was only for the sake of this post..

But something similar happens constantly on these holiday romances, most of them have a partner at home. Just away and caught up in the moment. Got to leave it at the airport in 99.99% of cases.

Problem with this connected world is people carry things on, swap a mobile number, friend on Facebook etc.

I've no way of knowing how true this particular story is but sadly, versions of these kind of games have been around long before social media, or even the internet, was thought of - so it's not improbable at all. Never came across this as a kid, I’m glad to say. Any guy who tried that shit on me would likely have ended up with a smack upside the head.

Most of my mates back then ‘took one for the team’ by going off with the ‘fugly’ friend while their mate pulled the ‘hot one’. Lots of talking about not looking at the fireplace while you’re poking the grate and all that. Just as bad when I look back on it. I did my fair share of helping out as a wingwoman so I was just as much of a little shit back then.

This though...talking someone into actually travelling to another country after a holiday romance then telling them it was a pig hunt bet. That’s just another level.

On this This Morning they called his phone and texed and it was his voice mail .. so yes the tex s too her are very real .. Did you see her live on tv with her mum .? I feel its her mum doing a lot off this as it put her at risk being there alone and costing her money and just too be called a PIG. Why because both are mad about it all ... I would be if it was my girl.

Doesn't have a feeling of truth to me either, I do suspect they met for sex on holiday, and I do suspect they swapped phone numbers.

If he was at that time playing pull a pig with his mates, he lost. She is an attractive young woman. But I don't believe there is any credibility in a story of him luring her to fly to Amsterdam, book herself into an hotel, just for kicks. That bit I am sure came from her infatuation with what should have been a one night stand.

I spent some lonely nights in America when my head was in a bad place. Spent 10 or so nights in a bar where I did talk to a bar maid. Never had any physical contact, just a beer or 6 and talk. I did give her my phone number with the line "if you are ever in England, give me a shout" which isnt unusual I did do that often. About a month later I got a call from her, she was ready to leave her husband and kids to come to me... WTF! Infatuation and fantasy does weird stuff to some people...

If he really did send the pull a pig text, then I suspect it may have been because some crazy woman after a one night stand flew to Holland to try to find him.

The only good thing about this story, is it only got air time as there is not much real news on at the moment.

Actually the whole point of "pull a pig" is to make insecure guys enjoy clubbing.

Clubbing is actually largely shite, most men don't enjoy dancing, it's just that clubbing has a 'cool' image so groups of young guys think thet should go, even though they hate it.

Serious question, have you seen her? If so, on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate her attractiveness? I'd go with 6. The reason the story doesn't work is that if you showed a group of boys a picture of her and said "aye lads, look what i pulled" - there would be defening silence because half of them have girlfriends that are no more or less attractive than her.

Serious answer, she’s not ugly at all but if there were groups of friends on holiday and a couple paired up so the others all started mingling, maybe she was seen as “the pig” amongst her group of friends.

I’m just playing devil’s advocate here.

It comes across to me that she probably doesn’t get much attention normally which is why she’s taken a holiday romance to be so much more than it actually was.

If they were having a sexual holiday romance, why book a hotel with her flight? If he did lure her to Holland as part of a game how come the only evidence is 1 final text?

I have to agree with thr last part of your comment. I have recently been led on to agree to a meet only to whilst driving to said meet and chatting be blocked without any explanation. Also being complimented by men agreeing to add then as friends chatting to them flirting swapping numbers for meets and chats only to feel like its a 1 way street from my end and they are playing games. But 'cold feet' and 'pull a pig' are very different things. As a good life hack, never assume malice where incompetence will suffice. The more probable explanation is that the guy had a raging hard on when he arranged the meet with you, he's probably married and not told you and not getting much sex. As the meet draws closer he realises he probably won't perform well, he feels guilty about cheating and doesn't want to admit to being a liar.

Not saying you are a pig, but to 'win' at 'pull a pig' you actually have to pull. Leaving someone stranded isn't pull a pig!

I put "you've been pigged" into Google images and found the alledged text message. The times don't match the times given in her TV interview. Then i watched the TV interview and a different screenshot didn't have any times.

The stench of bullshit is growing.
