Why do people arrange to meet then block you?

Yesterday I arranged to pick someone up and bring them home for a bit of mutual fun. I messaged shortly prior to leaving to confirm the arrangements but the other person had blocked me.

What type of person has so much time on their hands to spend it doing this?

Something similar happened to me today.

Spend hours chatting over WhatsApp only to get blocked for something (not quite sure what tbh)

Some people are proper weird!

Those who have no intention of meeting or have changed their mind or got a better offer..

Lots of reasons. But you can't get in the other petsons head...usually...so forget it move on.

It will be a guy pretending to be a fem or if you were expecting a guy then its not who you were expecting to meet.

It happens all the time on here, just look back through the forums using the search option.

We've had it done to us in the past to, its never nice but just chalk it down to experience and move on.

Could be a woman, but mistakes from op, ie sent text to confirm. No phone call, no webcam chat to verify idetity of person being met. Points to being a man to me.

I don't accept the cold feet excuse.

If real, they should have the courtesy of at least inform their change of mind.

Just go unlos or block after arranging meet reek the stench of timewaster/fantasists.

So many diverse options, though they should not have let you leave if they knew you were going to meet them - unacceptable, if they would not meet.

But things can crop up, with others' complex lives.

I would not travel or prepare to meet if anyone didn't communicate

It's appalling really but it does happen. Some guys pretend to be cples/fems but sad, rude, idiots come in both sexes and all forms so who knows...

The best way to sort out the genuine from the fake is to ask to see them on cam. If it's a couple, both of them at the same time of course. There's no need to show faces or be naked, just show they are what they say. If they can't/won't do that then don't waste any time with them. We learnt this lesson a long time ago and it's served us well. Doing this won't stop idiots letting people down without warning but it'll mean that you're far more likely to find out who they are before wasting too much time.

I had the exact same situation about 4 weeks ago.

"He" was texting as driving to mine. Then after the time of when they should have arrived I was blocked on Fab and what's app

Thanks for all the replies to my original post.

Maybe Fab should have a facility to log all the no-show profiles, promised to meet and then blocked, sent to wrong address, gave fake phone number, messaged for hours and suddenly went quiet and all the rest of the dreamers.
