NORTH WEST

On a night out we see some bad fashion taste, guys with revealing white socks underneath black jeans, skirts too short n u can see legs rubbing together, clothes too tight so buttons are bursting....

If on fab would u be honest enough to tell that person they have no fashion!! Either too old to dress in that or wtf are u wearing its 21st century!

Im conscious of my age, I wonder if I dress too young? Cos I could pass as my daughter's friends....16!! Lol

Taste is very subjective. However much I might dislike someone else's choice of clothing or apparent lack of style, who am I to criticise? What makes my opinion any more valid than theirs? And, you know, how someone else dresses doesn't actually *affect* me in any real way so it'd be pretty nasty to snipe at them when I could upset them and/or shatter their confidence for no purpose at all.

If a friend was to ask an honest opinion of what they looked like. I'd give it, maybe tactfully but I'd be honest & tell them.

But what I see others wearing, doesn't affect or bother me, their lives, their body, their choice.

I could probably be accused by some as a 'bit of mutton' on occasions.

This. Choice of clothing is so personal. If someone feels good in what they're wearing, my opinion doesn't count or matter. Why would we want to make another human feel bad because they don't meet our expectations of what's OK and not OK to wear... Be kind, always. And if you can't, keep it shut

Some people are just rude.

There are certain things I really dislike three quarter length cargo pants on women being one and shapeless tee shirts another. I bet though that people who like them really dislike what I wear. My mum thinks I don't dress for my age, bless her she'd love to see me in elastic waist trousers and sensible shoes.

Fashion is a personal choice. I may not agree with other people's fashion choices but I am sure they may not agree with mine in turn. I also don't agree with the concept that we need to compromise on our clothing choices merely because of stereotypes about age. I know what suits me and although my fashion choices have evolved as I've got older the only concession I make is not wearing stuff I don't think suits me. If it does suit me and it's appropriate for where I'm going then I'll wear it and age be damned.

There are certain items of clothing that I wouldn't wear but that's because they don't flatter / enhance my appearance.

And I would never be so rude to offer an opinion on someone's dress sense without being asked to do so!

Exactly what I was going to say, I do believe that certain clothes suit certain people more than others but that’s just my opinion and I wouldn’t force that on others.

However, I have to admit I am not a fan of cheap leggings. If women wear them id hope they have some thickness to them as the cheap seethrough ones just look tacky to me. Nothing to do with somatotypes it’s just a product where you can’t cut corners on quality in my opinion.

I wear what I like, without worrying about how other people view me because of my fashoin sense or lack there of. Just because I might not like what someone else is wearing doesn't mean they are wrong to wear it, so no, I wouldn't be a c#*t and tell someone they shouldn't wear what they like, what would be your point other than to maybe hurt someones feelings? I would rather encourage someone to not give a shit about other peoples opinions tbh!

I do agree there are certain garments that are worth spending a little more on to get the better quality

Everyone has freedoms to dress and express themselves On their exterior as they wish. There's no age limit for clothing - sometimes size restrictions
