Bought them again when kids were young and will still buy them these days if they on offer!!! Lush with some ice cold milk!!!

yeasty buns.. ( like a hot cross bun.) nowhere near as nice these days. and

condensed milk.. straight from tin..

or boiled in tin till toffee .. ohhhh yum.

My Dad had a Triumph Spitfire in the 1970s, he spilt milk in it once, my god did that ever stink for weeks afterwards!

I am so with you on a good bread and butter pudding, it is nt a childhood memory for me .. but they are awesome

My mum knocked up Toad in the Hole recently funnily enough, even my brother sneaked round for some.

Replace some of the milk in a rice pudding (or other milk pudding!) with the same amount of Carnation straight from the tin and cook as normal...

Takes me right back home to me mum!

I'd love to open my own restaurant serving up all these old delicacies ...leak and tattie soup, scotch broth, vegetable soup, minestrone, mince and tatties, stovies, toad in the hole, steak and kidney pie, rice pudding, bread and butter pudding, cakes and custard, trifle, roly-poly and spotted dick! I make all these and more.

.... and sprouts are only for throwing at each other.

spaghetti and meat balls

used to have it every dinner time when i came home from school, the school was only over the road from my home, so id run home, get my plate of spaghetti and meat balls and watch rainbow every single day till i went upto comprehensive school

i bloody hate tinned meant balls now

if you haven't tried the vietnamese coffee in 'tampopo' (it's an oriental restaurant chain) then i can recommend it

it is made with evaporated milk and is almost orgasmic !

(yeah u guessed, doesn't take much these days )

A cake my mum used to make which was not really a cake, it was just layers of biscuits and chocolate, chilled and it was very sickly.. but we loved it...
