So I start training with a special unit within the Army in few months. I am pushing myself to absolute limits in prep, but today I broke down in tears while training. Not through pain or that I can't really explain was like raw emotion. Has anyone else encountered this

All the intense training will physically and mentally take it of you.

You're getting a physical release when you exert yourself. The mini breakdoen was the mental equalivent. There's only so far you can push before your body says enough, sounds like mentally at that point, that was it.

Hope you feel better after it.

Thanks, I now know where the edge of my limit is and pushed through it as carried on for a further 30 mins after that. I feel great for it if honest. I know it's going to take a mentally toll on me than physical.

I have when training, probably cause I pushed myself to the absolute limit and still fell short of what was expected.

I've cried after intense sex. It's a strange feeling.

Up on them there hills

Little like sub drop, when all the endorphins, adrenalin and natural highs drop out of your system rapidly, it can create an very intense emotional state.

At least once a week!

I workout every day but 1 session a week, I push to absolute failure.

I'm usually laying on the changing room floor sobbing

And you look awesome because of it. I workout every day too and push myself hard. I do kettle bells for strength and bergan runs with 40 to 50 pound of weight in but have a rest day as important also.

Central

Our nervous system is complex but also easily confused, or we ourselves can become overwhelmed and confused by the intensity of what's going on.

Tears are our way of resetting things a little. I've had the same from time to time
