Concider your profile is your CV (a phrase I hate, I don't think of sex as a job) how do you think you fair, and does your profile stand out?

It's not a look at me thread (feel free to comment on my profile, just so nobody gets a time out for comments)

But, I expect my profile is 'normal'. There's little text, it's a guys body pics, no face, no dick pics. There's lots of us like this surely.

So, my question, what do you think is most important for you? Text or pics? Or is it both?

And if you think its Text, why do you post pics?

If you think it's pics only, why have lots of text on your profile, it's NSA after all isn't it?

I've made mine short and not so sweet. I think it's pointless and tediously boring to try to fit everything into a profile text. There are a few pretty pictures. I'd say mine was as good as I can be bothered to make it. Obviously if I wanted to meet new people then I might make the blurb a bit more friendly... it serves it's purpose

Our text is a bit lengthy and we have a fair few pics but we hope that helps people get a true idea of what we’re like and what we’re here for. It should make it easier for them to decide if we’re what they’re after.

However, from some of the messages we get it’s clear that some don’t read the text, they just look at pics. It’s also clear that they’re usually a man pretending to be a woman or couple... hey ho.

If your profile is your cv for sex then surely the most important tools for the job should be clearly visible Bee? You wouldn't apply for a job, stating I have experience but I'm not going to show you... So maybe our biogs should be a commentary on our sexual achievements and our pics of cocks and pussys in action?

Ours is a mix of text and pics. I do think it's hard to say what we really like and are looking for. But equally it's difficult to put into words what we are like as well. I think it just gives a general outline and hopefully enough to make other couples message us to learn more x

For us a mix of both is important. And I don't think NSA means text is redundant, there are so many different desires and kinks there would be no point meeting someone for NSA sex if their idea of a good time is totally different to ours.

I've just re-edited my profile text, as it was quite long and I imagine people may have got bored reading it. So it is now the shortened version, although I will probably add to it. My old version did well for me.

Personally I will read the text before looking at photos.

I think on balance my profile is the right mix of pics and text and paints a fairly accurate picture of me the person, what I'm looking for and what I think I can offer.

I tweak it every now and then and swap pics in and out but I'm generally happy it, along with my forum persona, paints a fairly accurate image.

Mine is deliberately obtuse (which leads to some interesting mail of the 'get over yourself' variety lol), but I know by now just how rare the type of person who interests me is, and I'd rather have a largely empty mailbox than get sent dozens of unsolicited dick pics every day, or be badgered into having coffee with people I've genuinely no interest in, even on a social level. That might sound harsh, but my free time is precious and I'd rather not waste it

For now I've got everything I need, so I'm not looking.... If that changes, I'll update my profile...

My profile must stand out a bit. I had 30,000 hits in 4 days recently so I suspect I'm doing something right?

When looking at profiles, I like to see some decent pics, a bit about the person and a few verifications. If it says "fill in later" and it's a blank avatar, I'm definitely not interested.

Regards what other people think of my profile.. it's mine and I can present it how I choose

I need to rewrite my profile as it still is the same as I joined. Some of the text does get mentioned in messages, so I know that people do read. I put up pictures that I like. I have text because I want to try to be seen as an individual (rather than as an anonymous Fab female), and a fair few photos because it's important to me that people have a pretty real idea of what I look like from the start (as I have lots of decades old body issues, not a lot of self confidence and a fear of being rejected in person because of how I look which I'd prefer to avoid).

I think my profile *could* be improved - the blurb could be wittier, maybe a little more open, maybe a little warmer and more friendly. Compared to some others it's a bit boring. And my photos aren't exactly what I want them to be - I'm forever frustrated by my inability to recreate the images in my head because I don't understand the settings on my camera properly and some things are almost impossible to capture on your own.

However - as it is I'm not too unhappy with the attention my profile attracts (though I rarely hear from other women). I don't get a lot of time to meet anyway but if I did, maybe it'd need to be tweaked a bit

My profile text said about some of my preferences and went into detail (BDSM for example) but it was rarely read. Actually my sort of tagline referenced the sub side and that was often used in messages I received.

The obvious answer to the photos/text question is both OP.

People like to see what they're getting physically to see if the attraction is there. Likewise they also want to see they're getting someone whose outlook matches theirs and isn't a drooling idiot, which profile text usually reveals to some degree.

In terms of how my profile stands out, though I think my pics are acceptable, I'd say it's more the text side of it as it's more unique to me and I can let my naughty imagination run riot...

I don't mind short text as long as it's well written. Strangely anyone that writes something like 'fun man wants fun woman for fun times' is usually overlooked pretty quickly.

I have geared mine to say a little bit about me. Its too easy to go down the route of saying I like this that and the other. Or conversely what you don't like. My mind doesnt work like. I like a little bit of mystery. I guess it means I don't stand out so much and probably means a lot of people would just pass me by. As for pics I am just not a good photographer! As I said on another post this morning I do need to work on that aspect.

I noticed that it does not matter what women say they like.

Being a decent guy will not get you popular. Even when guys come on here and say they couldnt get a second meet all the girls who say they want a decent guy tell them "it's not a dating site", "maybe this site isnt for you".

They seem to want the type of guy that walks up to every girl at the end of the night and asks them for sex.

If the guy is too decent, too handsome, too nice, the girls will be put off. They will get too nervous, they will think the guy wont like them. But the decent enough guy who will fuck with no complaints is just what they want.

I do hide the profile a fair amount though because I'm not always looking or in the forums.

Or more importantly because life takes over and I dont want a pile up of messages.

I don't have a lot on my profile, no public pics at the mo, no list of veris detailing who I've shagged. I don't feel I need to "stand out" as I meet all the guys I need to at clubs, and being a woman on fab you always get a decent response if you put a meet up.

Not sure our profile is highly appealing to the masses but we are entertained.

The pics feature me and hubby only, no face pics on display due to previous stalking issues. But what you see otherwise is most certainly what you would be getting.

The wording, quite matter of fact I guess, but to the point.

If you delete everything off your 'looking for' list it takes you off the searches.

Cuts down lots of mail. They can still mail you from the forums.

Honesty and openness are the trick I find.
