Hi guys I wanted your opinion on the dodgy boxes. I am coming to end of my virgin contract and thinking of getting a dodgy box what do you think

Get a fire stick ...you can load it with what you want easily and free, my only advice would be to get fibre broadband as they buffer horrendously if you don't have good internet.

I got one did it all myself saves me £65 A month that I was paying sky!

If you are thinking about getting a box, the best for the money is called "zgemma". You can get either single or duel input units so you can watch both sky and virgin channels.. once you have the box its prety simple to buy a cline (to give you access to the channels) and install it

one thing to bear in mind is that the sky channels are all sd and the virgin are all hd. As for phishing etc, if you disable auto updates and just update manualy via usb its fine

Oh Yeah!!! I wish them luck ..the worst they can do is mess up my fire stick (if that's at all possible) and by then I will have paid for it 1000 times over.

I cancelled my virgin media as it was all repeats of shite and kept putting prices up for it .They offer you loads of offers before you leave .But still not worth it .Then what a hassel too return the box .I felt like putting in the bin.They don't pick it up anymore

From what I have heard a lot of these boxes have stopped working recently.

Sky have changed their encryption, so the patched satellite decoders with a "gift" no longer work. Kodi still works to a degree, but most HD streams have gone. There are a couple of other apps that run under Android, but given the way other items are falling by the wayside, for the time being, paying legitimately is probably cheaper than buying dodgy boxes that stop working altogether in a few weeks.

When virgin came out I was in the area so paid 16 pound and many years later 56 pound I paid with adding stuff on and faster internet .But did you know this they actually turn it down .But still paid for quicker .I found this out when my box needed update .

They are not doggey there is a lot of media scare mongouring if you buy one don't buy cheap get at least 3 GB with 32gb of memory and ensure you have basic it skills to load with current apks

if kodi charged for that service they are doing right now i would take that over sky any time..the adverts on sky annoy me..i pay 20 quid for sky movies and they putting sodding adverts on it
