Do abs belts really work?

Ok, I'm a bit flabby round the middle, I'll admit it. I'm not looking for a six-pack but will one of these abs belts make and difference or am I actually gonna have to do some real exercise?

They will not burn fat. They will still exercise your abs to a degree, everyone has them just with varying layers of fat over them.

Only way is to move more and eat a bit less.

I've used one and they do work...but it is a little time consuming setting the whole thing up...there's no easy way but if your not into doing the hard work.

No.

Ab-specific (and lots of the compound exercises) will build abdoinal muscle, but in order to see them, you need to lose the layer of fat that covers them.

Sadly, it's all about diet.

Not only eating less...I've done that and lost a fair bit of weight.

It also needs work in most cases...if your looking for a tight tummy..and they do work but not as good as the real thing

Exercising doesn't burn off belly fat. It can help you burn off general excess but mostly it is diet that tackles fat.

Exercising shit loads won't make you slim if you still eat more than you need.

If you manage to shed excess fat then you can see the benefits of exercise via increased definition. For everyone else the muscles are still there... but remain hidden beneath fat.

Electronic stimulation can exercise your abs. But the benefit won't be visible unless the weight is lost.

Also; with respect to cardio (and weight training with no progressive overload), your body quickly adapts and the calorie burn drops somewhat as you become more efficient at doing that particular form of excercise. It's really all about diet.

It's generally impossible to target fat loss to one particular area of your body by exercise or wobbling.

Diet and exercise are probably needed for your body to naturally shed the fat volume from wherever it will naturally be lost for you.

Don't aim for a quick fix as they don't tend to be long lasting
