So England are terrible and we all hate them (I think?) so What would you rather do than watch England play slovakistan or whoever it is?

Watch paint dry, watch grass grow, watch jelly set,you get the idea. All of those options would be more exciting and enjoyable

As I suspected. I wonder if other countries feel the same? Or is it because we feel so bloody robbed by them over the years?

You see, I love football, support a team through thick and thin and used to love England (I even got a tattoo d*unk after a game in '96) but years of bullshit has driven me away. I even lost two jobs due to England!!

Not at all,I've been around the world to support both England men and England ladies rugby through good times and bad over the years, and am hugely proud to be a fan.I just think football is boring to watch. The last time I watched England play they were dull, unimaginative, predictable, stale and devoid of any form of flair. Then full of excuses afterwards as to why they were so crap

Do you think that was influenced at least by society's view of footballers? Overpaid, spoilt, immature etc

No not at all. Love watching or listening to the games.

I'm a STH for our local club too. Love football. We both do.

Not influenced by anything other than what I see when I watch.Occasionally there will be an absolute belter of a match that is great to watch, but they are so few and far between.Football when played well can be a joy to watch, but it's rarely played well enough to interest me

Football provides good entertainment for people who find rugby too complex

This

And as a nation we tend to like to whine about anything.

Then if people do well we like to knock them down

There's thin and then there's thin! Lol. I think the problem comes when u can see they don't try, people don't feel they are representative of them and struggle to see them on their level

Iv never once thought they never tried today. Not once. I boxed at a very high level and refuse to believe sportsmen at that level dont 'try'

+1 to that club. Had too many years of it "rammed down my throat" by my step dad and step bro.

If there was a match on any TV channel they'd find it and watch it. I mean even second division Italian football as "well they might go up next year, and in two years they could be playing British teams in the European Cup"

A radical solution for the FA.

Stop picking Premier League players for the national squad. Choose players from the Championship and below, who will consider it an honour and privilege to play for England rather than those who see it as a chore.

Just looked at England's qualifier group, hardly a group of world-class teams to emerge from is it?If it's an achievement worth getting excited about that England have come through from a group of second-rate sides then that says it all really...
