Always always always trust your gut instinct!

For far too long I have let someone make me doubt mine but they proved on more that one occasion. I forgave them far too much which has only led to heartache, hurt feelings and anger.

If I can't research or study it beforehand, I go with the gut feeling. I'm not always right but suppose it's as good a way to make a decision as any.

I tend to be aware of my gut but give my brain a chance to reason and understand things before making a decision.

When it comes to people I know first impressions can be wrong and while Id remain cautious if my gut told me to be i would give them a chance to convince me otherwise if there was an doubt.

I find guys have better gut instinct about other guys.

Girls have better gut instinct about other girls.

However.

When a guy says he has a bad feeling about another guy to a girl, she writes it off as jealousy, and vice versa. So we end up in situations where people warn us, but we ignore it.
