To be fair though just been looking at specs on the iPhone 8 plus an the Samsung 8 plus and Samsung have what I consider a better screen for what I'd use the phone for , more ram on the Samsung and I think the cameras a bit more megapixels than the iPhone.

Though lots of people are raving about the iPhone plus processor.

I've never had a problem with Samsung and given the choice would choose them if only for android over iOS.

Written on my iPhone as my galaxy is still enjoying a night out I went on...

How is the S7? I have the S6 at the moment and want to upgrade eventually.

Just about the best "smartphone" i've ever owned. It's nice to use, solid as a rock and in all the time i've had it no update has ever "bricked" it. Bung in a 128gb mem card and it's a great phone.

I got a £250 lenovo 10" tablet and £80 LG SIM free phone which is 4G. Tether the tablet to the phone. Together, they do everything I need.

Not interested in anything by either Apple or Samsung.

If I drop either or both of my tablet or phone and the screen smashes, I can replace both with brand new units straight away. Do you have £1000 on hand for a new iPhone?

I’ve just got the 8+ but only because my 6s+ was stolen on a night out. I’ve always been iPhone and my phone was stolen two days before the launch of the new one. I love it but it’s not much different to my 6s+

I've always had Samsung. I refuse to buy into the Apple family, once you're in that's it everything you get thereafter has to be Apple otherwise nothing works!!

I've got a 2017 A7....I think

Cool thanks. I've had no issues with the S6 but quite fancy the S7 once my contract is up.

If you want old tech, go for apple. If you want something modern and reliable, go for Samsung. I have the s7. It's actually more advanced than the iPhone 8.

Be smart, don't buy apple...

Apple has gone downhill since Jobs died..
