Some people are just plain nasty and spiteful. They usually want a reaction and that's why they do it.

By replying the way you did, you let them know that it got to you. You dropped to their level.

Don't give them the satisfaction, report, delete and block the tossers.

The person who randomly messaged you invaded your space so whilst you may be criticised for some, giving them a taste of their own medicine seems proportionate.

You have been courageous in showing yourself as you are, no filters, no air brushing, no surprises. To have some random stranger have a pop for no good reason is unjustified.

Turning the other cheek is all well and good. They don't know your life story and shouldn't pass judgement. A lot might not agree, but I support your action.
