I honestly don't understand profiles that aren't at least photo verified. Just received a ranting message from someone who I politely told I wouldn't be entertaining as they had been on for 7months and not even photo verified.... It just screams fake profile to me.

You can have pictures in a private gallery that don't show up on the summary of profile content ....

I know many genuine site members who value the option too do that .....

For me, the only reason I got photo verified was to enable me to post on the forums,otherwise I'd never have bothered. Maybe the person you messaged has no interest in that, therefore doesn't really feel the need to do so.

Ah ok didn't realise you had to be veried to post. That makes sense. Still I would think people wanting to actually meet would do it to enhance their chances No?

May be in just expecting too much

I can see the value of photo verification to prove a newly joined couple is actually two people and not just some bloke being an idiot. But for singles profiles what does it prove really?

That said I think it's far too easy for any Tom Dick or Harriet to join up and pretend they are absolutely anything.

I think it matters more for girls and couples. I can't imagine there are many male profiles who aren't male.

I have my filters set to verified only. I figure if they're that bothered about speaking they can at least go to the effort of taking a pic.

Yeah single males not so much but definitely couples and women. So many messages from couples and women that aren't verified at all.

I should have stipulated at beginning of this thread that's it's the profiles with no pictures,no verifications, little or no interests listed and the oh so invented 'Will fill in later' or 'just ask' blurbs.

On the whole no skin off my nose but if you're going to message me for a meet or asking for my pictures, I'm going to need a little assurance you're genuine and being photo verified seems one of the simplest and easiest ways

Those would feel like hoops to jump through for me. If someone isn't convinced I'm real when chatting I'd lose interest in them.

Completely agree. For me personally though, I would only begin conversations with those that are unverified if they are at least photo verified.

We did it because we were aware being totally unverified puts people off. Knowing it’d take a while to organise any meets it seemed the easiest way of proving we’re a couple and not a man pretending

I agree, but as a guy, if I see a female or couple profile with no pics etc and they have been here weeks or months and still no green flag, then the red flag appears!

I am not so sure about this, I often browse the new pictures and regularly see pictures of people holding their name up.... maybe it stays there until admin have approved it and then it goes private? But from what I have seen, I am guessing there is a short period where everyone could see it, if they looked.

It's because they are new and have also accidently added the photo veri pic to public pics.
