If they booked a hotel, they'll be fine.

There have been flights chartered to bring all brits back home within hours of original flight plan. More of an issue if nit gone anywhere yet as you lose iut if you've no insurance

Apparently, holidays with Monarch are covered by ATOL, so three chances of getting your money back:ATOL, Insurance or credit card.

However, Monarch are saying (last I heard anyway), that their flights only business is not covered by ATOL, so only chances appear to be Insurance or credit card.

I've got flights only booked for next year, paid by credit card so should be OK (I know.......smug b*stard)

No need for laughter or tears he'll be fine.

I feel sorry for the poor people who should have been going on holiday today.

I really want to laugh because he’s the type that asks the world and his best mate for advice and then goes and makes the wrong choice anyway

My friend being stranded in a holiday resort is funny, I’m sure he would much rather be back here at work

Not stranded as all brits are being flown home within hours of original flight but possibly not to the same airport.

I'm glad I'm not one of your friends

You only need to pay £100 of the flight on a crefit catd for article 47 to apply, however beware, it has to be the main cardholders card that purchases the flights (secondary spouse cards are not covered) and the cardholders name needs to be the lead name on the booking.

Still haven’t heard from him, it was 30 degrees in Madrid yesterday, I’m hoping there is enough cerveza to keep him hydrated

He got back at 2am on Sunday morning courtesy of BA

It would have been sooner but the BA booking system crashed again. His hotel booking and airport transfer was messed up even though it was booked independently.

He’s not bothered that I have constantly been taking the piss out of him because I was the only one of his mates who actually checked up on him.

Who needs enemies with mates like me ?

I always give him good advice, another guy gives him bad advice but for some reason he often listens to the other guy (who incidentally recommended Monarch) he said yesterday “I should listen to you more often “

Tales of woe are what makes life interesting when you're sat in the pub with mates.

Usually started off with the simple comment "remember the time you"(insert words here)
