Well I for one am surprised at Newcastles early form this season but I tend to prefer what is now the Pro14, Ulster starting strong but Scarlets seem strong despite losing Williams this season, just a shame the rest of the Welsh regions are going through a poor time!

Nope, not been a bad outcome at all & hopefully if Wales are going to adopt a more passing based game internationally then him playing alongside Evans is great news for everyone

Looks like Tigers have finally started playing some rugby after an embarrassing start to the season.Three wins on the bounce now and a great performance in the win against Chiefs.New signings are starting to come good, and Toomua is starting to show his class more and more.Should batter Irish this weekend coming, then hopefully we can carry our recent good form into the upcoming European matches.Still got a long way to go,but the improvements are starting to come.Need to show those pesky Wasps and Saints who's top dog in the Midlands!

found out the maximum for lower grade (accidental) eye gouging is 12 weeks... so i suppose 7 weeks isn't bad... means he misses all the autumn internationals and he is one of Eddies "finishers".... so who would be "next prop up"?

Of course you can.. Yeah I like the Great Britain brand, always preferred it in truth, ever since seeing the 1990 game v Australia at Wembley on TV.

I then tried to watch as much of the 1992 tour as I could.. making myself late for school on more than one occasion..haha

be interesting to see how the ospreys start to plan for next season with dan biggar off to northampton and news this morning that rhys webb is off to Toulon...

Hopeful the tigers can finally regain there winning mentality. It's been very depressing the last few years watching them go backwards under Cockerell. Feeling far more positive we can start playing some attacking rugby now.

you might be able to help..... because i have tried to find the answer.

watching the Glasgow vs Cheetahs game on BBC alba.... but sky have also got the Free state cheetahs vs Blue Bull game on at the same time....

I am assuming they have have probably played both games back to back.....

i had a look at both the free state cheetahs and pro 14 cheetahs and they are basically both the same mamouth squad....

so when Currie Cup and Pro 14 overlap now (which didn't happen when Cheetahs played Super Rugby).... are the pro 14 cheetahs basically the 1st XV and the Free state Cheetahs the 2nd XV... or is it they basically carry 2 1st XV's and mix and match when they need to?

I thought Leeds might edge it, but not dominate like they did. Castleford's inability to mount any serious pressure with dropped passes and possession really did them in.

Danny McGuire was excellent, I think that's the most controlling that I have ever seen him and it was almost written in the stars.

I don't know, think it will depend on where they are as the season progresses and how much emphasis they place on each competition.

They do seem to have played a few as double game days to try to attract the crowds. Ie. A 14 and Currie game one straight after the other in the course of an afternoon, but not had a look at the selections.

More to it than that. They are a tight squad. They way they work off the ball for each other.

Wasps looked like they had no ideas, kicked possession away too eay.

They are quality and will be back I'm sure. Wasps injuries havent helped atall

Injuries have hurt them big time. Losing kurtly Beale so a big hit. They will be back but last year they won games by the skin of their teeth. They seemed to believe they'd always score more than the opposition. Not working this year.

Re wasps...

When you see try's scored from a tapped penalty, one pass stroll in from the 22 you know the heads and hearts aren't quite in it.

It disappoints me that week after week the opposition want it more, never felt that last season.

Well Tigers made hard work of beating Irish still,a win is a win and May has turned out to be a great addition to the team,as has Malouf

Wasps can hide behind the injuries excuse all they like,Tigers have had injury problems for several seasons, for some reason we like to sign or retain crocks and knackers, and yet still managed to pull off results,so it's not holding water with me

In other news, lower down the rugby pyramid I scored two tries to help my team overturn a half-time deficit of 14 points and beat the league leaders by 10 points at their ground, which has seen us pinch top spot off them

Too many errors. too many silly penalties. The only thing we can hope for is that they get that fixed before we even talk about performances and individuals. As long as they give their all, thats all we can ask for. It's early in the season though so we can only hope that it all comes together.

Indeed, roll on Thomond Park next week. SUAF x

not prepared to give them the crown just yet because northampton are one of those teams that can be super flakey..... nbow if they can do that against clermont in rounds 3 and 4, then you'll make a believer of me...

I'll agree with Northampton comment, but they were on a roll going into the game. Belief must have been high, but they were just sweeped aside.

Of the games I watched (didn't see all of them) they seem to have the best all round game. So fast and precise.

This is coming from a Wasps fan !!!

i don't think that is the worst move in the world IF they can get the backing and support that Toronto does....

But the Newcastle Saracens game in new york was a bit of a diaster apparently... and in the summer what you are competeing with is basically Baseball and MLS....

They've lost a home game.

To qualify it's usually those who win all their home games and at least one or two on the road.

Glasgow have to win all 4 remaining matches to even have a chance of getting out of the pool stages.

they are all doing it earlier and earlier, remember rhys webb announced he was leaving ospreys from toulon a couple of weeks ago.....

he is the one i fee sorry for as the welsh how now changed their selection policy where only those people who have got 60 caps will be considered if they are playing abroad.. so webb now wont be considered from next season....

be interested to see where zebo ends up... i am assuming it is likely to be a french club...

anyway good win for the aussies in bledisloe cup 3.....

I don't think it is.... i think it is schmidt looking towards 2019, and with this autumn series being south africa, fiji and argentina... its not the strongest and they know what zebo can do on the wing and at full back

same with trimble and bowe at ulster....

remember you have bunde aki now available thru residency so you have many centres.... earls can play wing or centre, you have all the wingers that have been left out, plus all the different kearney's you can play at full back if needed.....

if it were a world cup year, ireland would have a super strong back division already.... this just gives others a chance to see if they can step up as well as some did in the summer against japan and the US

We’ll have to disagree on this

and speaking of world cups.... the main part of the draw for the 2019 world cup in japan has been held this morning...

with some interesting groups...

it will end up being 4 pools of 5 teams, at this stage the automatic qualifers have been put into the groups with the qualifers being added later...

pool 1: Japan, Ireland, Scotland, Europe 1, Play off winner

Pool 2: New Zealand, South Africa, Italy, Africa 1, Repechage winner

Pool 3: England, France, Argentina, USA, Tonga

Pool 4: Australia, Wales, Georgia, Fiji, Americas 2

the interesting thing.... is that for the quarter finals.... pools 1 and 2 will crossover, and pools 3 and 4 will crossover.....

Players at the ruck should be supporting their own body weight. This means no leaning on ground or players on the ground with either hands arms or body.

Players are now trained to have a wide stance to keep balance.

For the person competing for the ball but All the attackers entering the ruck, they go so low to clear out that they end up off their feet !!

Is this law now being ignored due to the fact only the first defender can contest for the ball ??

Generally penalties for sealing off the ball or hands on the ball when off feet.

If you clear out and then are not interfering with access to the ball or the scrum half then generally you are OK

I do see what you’re saying pal and I actually don’t think it effects tomorrow’s game for us too much.

It annoys me in the sense that there are sometimes cheap league points on offer for the clubs that aren’t littered with internationals.

Anyways if tomorrow’s anything like last years beginning of November game the post match fireworks were actually worth the ticket price alone

Rather predictable but well done nonetheless

Excited for today’s game, we have a lot of the squad players in the side as it’s the b&i cup game. Looking forward to seeing the back-row of Haskell and the Willis brothers, watch out for them in the future

Entertaining game.

Shite result.

Fabio was correct, the quality just wasn’t there, although out of the back row I mentioned the 6 was head and shoulders above the other two, Haskell has a lot of work to do I feel to get back to international standard.

An enjoyable afternoon.

No flipping fireworks tho

Just throwing it out there...

Not possible for me anyway, and I’m sure most will have plans made.

Would need to plan a little in advance

Ahhh, I see. I looked at your location and assumed you were imagining things.

My bad! Enjoy the game though
