I have a predicament

on the road to nowhere in particular

I have just got into an argument regarding advice for someone else on fb with someone who has made a few snide comments towards me. The problem is I don’t think he realises who I am and that he is due to work for me in the near future.

My predicament is....

A- Do I bite my tongue and get the work done?

B- Do I cut my nose off to spite my face and tell him his services aren’t required?

No point in holding a grudge

Gets you nowhere

Forgive, forget and move on

If they can do a good job and are competitively priced, no point in hurting your own wallet.

If anything, wait until the job is finished, pay up, then point out how close they were to losing the gig.

Bite your tongue, you can always make him aware of who you are once the works complete, I'd personally leave it, your paths may cross professionally again at some point.

Bedworth

I'd probably investigate whether there were other people able to employ to do the job. If so I'd use their services instead, if not I'd suck it up and tell him what an arse he is after the job was completed

The Tantric Tea Shop

Snide comments seem so prevalent on facebook...

A potential good employee is worth going for...

Actions speak louder than...blah blah

It’s an emotive subject for me, people who know me well know it’s a no go area in conversation.

Problem is I have already had another tradesman (who was half the price) let me down by not turning up on time to do the job.
