Hi guys another boring thread by me. I'm just wondering why is there so much hate for soldiers on this site. I see it alot on profiles. People stating no soldiers (sqaudies). What's the stigma behind this? Are soldiers really that bad. And what's the difference between a soldier and a civilian man?

Just in case anyone thinks I'm bitching I'm not. I'm just curious

I've not seen any hate directed towards soldiers...

What I have noticed is that many don't approve of the guys who are trying to use it as a big selling point, expecting others to reward them for their bravery with sex.

Ultimately, people are generally more interested in your personality, looks and body, and not so concerned by what job you do.

BUT... if anyone has a huge fetish for I.T. guys, then give me a shout.

I think suggesting there is hate for Soldiers on the site is clumsy and inflammatory ....

However I'm totally against any person using their service uniform as a selling point on a site like this

I think is displays a total lack of respect to that uniform and indicates that individual has very shall shallow opinion of themselves in life outside their service position

PS In my mind guys in uniform who are brandishing pictures of themselves holding guns should censored ......

I was married to one,it's kinda put me off them . I think the thing is they make such a big deal out of it,why even mention it?! You don't get Accountants making a song and dance about their line of work do you!

I'm not interested in someone's work title it doesn't make them more attractive. Unless you're a Fireman

No hate behind it. I tend not to meet army guys because I'm surrounded by them where I live. They tend not to be able to accommodate and I refuse to meet anyone on camp. They tend to message when they're bored and expect you to be able to drop everything to meet them. They just aren't compatible with the way I meet. Having said that I have met a couple of army guys and had a fab time. But they have been the exception rather than the norm given my experience.

I'm with you , someone's occupation should not be a relevant factor and it becomes totally contrived when individuals include their employment status as a selling point....

But having a big cock is quite an important consideration on my book too

I've not seen any hate as a whole. There will always be exceptions as the site can be fickle, so don't expect everyone to like who you are.

Trawl the forums and you'll see negative remarks towards anyone who: is professional, can't spell, seems to be affluent, police, politicians etc etc

It's been said above. Why introduce yourself on a site as HM forces. Aside from assuming that's going to get you more meets(it may, some are attracted to unifirm) it's a massive security risk this day and age.

Haven't seen any hate directed to any of the armed forces on here to be fair, from a personal point of view, it's unlikely that I'd meet as most are too far or don't accomodate. It's a job with a uniform, why should it be different to care workers, police, paramedics etc

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I've had a misunderstanding. I have seen some profiles refusing to meet us. I took it off my profile for the exact reason I got declined when messaging some women as they replied don't meet sqaudies then blocked me. I've not seen threads in hate towards us but the general experience I've had hasn't always been the best

As for mentioning it on my profile it was only to show why it can be difficult for me to accommodate. Although I am open to hotel meets and willing to travel

These people may live near barracks and not want to get involved with people so near, who may all talk amongst themselves about what they get up to on here.

I've met many servicemen and not had issues with them. They were no different to the rest of the workforce population and none went on about their job.

Most of them weren't on here though..

You could put that you live with other people so can't accommodate. You aren't obliged to disclose your occupation with anyone.

Hate maybe is a strong word, negative might be a better word.

There does seem a lot of negativity about it, especially if they put a pic up with their uniform on. I disagree though as it works for me as a visual, if he turns out to be able to hold a conversation inbetween play too then it makes my day

To be fair though, the amount of comments about people expecting a reason why you can't accommodate ( even if they can't either ) makes people think they need to explain otherwise they won't get past a first mail.( not that I would, I would just say sod them but then I am not a single male looking to meet on site where the ratio is not great)

I don't think there's hate, but people do sometimes include them in blanket restrictions.

Personally, I've never grouped people like that and given my background, it should come as no surprise that I've met military couples and singles.

But in the same way all single males can blocked by couples who feel plagued by them, people who've had their fill of lads on a run ashore can feel less inclined to swing with them.

Personally someones occupation holds no relevance on whether or not we meet them. Unless I worked with them then I wouldn't

But I'm not in the army so that wouldn't be a concern for me. I don't ask about peoples jobs as it's quite personal but if they want to divulge I'm happy to listen.

I'd happily meet a squaddie as long as they were respectful.

Soldiers are just like anyone else who has a highly skilled profession. Even in the toughest regiments soldiers are not just trained to kill. They do know how too but also are very disciplined. I've seen the toughest men cry at the sight of people suffering. I also know a few men who now suffer in silence with mental issues. Its not the uniform that makes the man. Its the man that wears the uniform. The hardest part of joining up is signing that dotted line. Most soldiers are good people doing a very tough job and doing it for the love of our country. Yes there is and always will be a few who are not the full shilling but that happens in civilian life too. I admire any youngest willing to be part of our HM Forces. The greatest thing about our forces is that is matters not what sex you are , what colour your skin happens to be or too a degree your intelligence. When you get picked up from the railway station on that first day you are all the same. I have and always will respect our forces. They give so much. Sometimes they give their life. You can give no more.

I've met soldiers before - but it was because I didn't know they were soldiers before meeting for a drink. In all honesty, I wouldn't meet someone who felt the need to sell themself on their occupation. The same goes for people who think they'll impress me with whatever other job they do. I don't have a fetish for any specific occupation so I find it all incidental on a meet.

I also wouldn't meet anyone in an official position who has pictures of them in uniform on their profile - that includes people in the army, police officers, firemen, etc. Although it tends to be more common with guys in the army than with anyon else. I find it disrespectful to their profession.

Anyway, I would happily meet a soldier, but I wouldn't meet a guy who tried to sell himself on being a soldier.

I think it's because of what people have said already in this thread, you get a lot of soldiers who's profile is all uniformed photos and their whole life is about being a soldier and that somehow means everyone should jump on them given the opportunity. It's also the reputation that soldiers can be very laddy and that's off putting to a lot of people. I have soldier and marine friends and I can see where that reputation comes from so it's not unfounded

I get some of the points put up here and they have been helpful and one of them I don't condone is posing with weapons. It's not professional and it's not impressive. Another is using the uniform to seek meets. I have two pics in uniform and that's only from request by my regular fb and it stays in with my friends only pics. I have only mentioned as a result of not always being able too accom.

I was hoping to meet with a forces fellow this weekend, but it can't happen. He's not used his role as a hook and I've only seen pics of him in uniform on what's app, because I showed interest in that side of his life. My concern is time off and actually being able to meet. Seems like it's a sodding nightmare.

You'll find lots of groups get to lie outside of people's preferences - including military guys . It's a mix of personal experience and the fact that many find meeting non-military longer term to be better for them. For most women and couples, there's so much choice here that it's really easy to become focused and eliminate what doesn't quite fit you. Availability, potential use of uniform as main took to get sex, cheating on partners, not being able to accom - there are many individual reasons.

But for guys living in military towns, you'll likely see this preference more frequently, so you'll gain a perspective on it that's skewed and disproportionate to the country in general. Stick to those of us happy to enjoy fun with you - perhaps look a bit further away from town

I suppose it's like anything - people have preferences. I used to live closer to Salisbury and it stood me in quite good stead that I wasn't one - after all, if you couldn't find a squaddie on a night out in Salisbury, there is clearly something wrong with you.

Also; the attitude of some squaddies towards the women that like to have casual sex with them probably doesn't do them any favours. The most interesting term I've heard used by them for the fabs type woman who likes to meet soldiers was "squaddie cockrat"...
