Hi folks

I was curious if anyone really pays attention to your current status, and if it is a useful tool to get to know people?

I tend to use humour a lot, so I often tell jokes in my status, but is that helpful or a hindrance?

It's not a function I use but I'm aware it divides opinion which is why the temptation is nullified for me because why risk alienating yourself attempting to be witty or obtuse

See you should never ask Sox for a supportive opinion ...

yeah its mainly used advertising meets and when people are looking for a random one pretty much there and then just click on the star for updates and your friends will be there and underneath is everyone else's local

We use our status. Whetherit gets noticed or not we don't know. A lot of people don't read the profile so more than likely don't read the status.

I use it and always read all profiles, only message those that I think I have something in common with and can have a laugh with. I maybe a bit rare lol

I'm not sure my status ever gets looked at. But when you go thru local people list n you see one that you would love to respond to but can't because your too old or wrong sex is really annoying

I love using my status, I change it regularly. I don't give a rats arse if I'm not using it properly, I use it for me to set the intention for each day...

I made my best fab mate through my statuses and we're firm friends having met up about 4 times now with our next night out scheduled for this week.

I post a quote or a thought everyday and often get people saying they look forward to seeing them, and get quite a few messages just because of the status.

Yes, I've found people do respond to my status posts, and I think women in particular find it easier to message first that way.

When I use it, it gets noticed and it means more crap in my inbox

. They don’t all use it as a way to get into my knickers it can just be polite recognition. But easily resolved it I don’t want the messages, don’t update the status simples
