I don’t like hearing people who insist on using the term “ Driver” when speaking to Taxi-drivers or delivery drivers…. Etc…. or calling a person serving table in restaurants,,,,Waiter etc….

I don't suggest for one moment it’s done offensively…. It just bugs me when I hear people do it, thats all, ….. As if everyone should be happy being addressed only by their occupational title……

For example……hey you,…. Yes you !!,,, that "Occupation undetermined stranger person" over there, the one whom I obviously have know idea what you do for a living… So therefore, I feel totally happy addressing you as “Occupation undetermined random stranger person”!!!….

“ I say "Occupation undetermined random stranger person, could you kindly give me directions, I appear to be lost?……

I address a Doctor by their surname preceeded by their title... i.e. Dr Smith!

...because, thats just being respectfully polite!!

When people prefix the beginning of a sentance by saying "I'm not being funny but....." No, you're not being funny you're just being annoying!
