Keep getting hit in the face by massive cobwebs when I go down the garden. Anyone else dread spider season?

When it's a really heavy Web, that cracks as you walk through it wondering what the hell it was. Then, spiders in the hair

There's been a lot of big ones in the house lately. Need conkers.

They have 8 legs, so they would more than likely beat you at a game of conkers

"I live in a flats, all spiders I see is odd daddy long legs "

That's why there are so many spiders. They dine on Daddy Long Legs.

Usage of the name refers to both the Cranefly and the Harvestman spider. Confusing i know.

Central

Keep spaces outside of your doorways as clear as possible, which will help deter them from getting inside your home.

Plenty of big ones here that are ripe for squeezing inside

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I swear they get bigger every year. One in the corner of my bathroom last night was the size of my hand!

conkers? What? Are they afraid or something?

Don't ever buy the plugin spider/insect repellants, absolutely useless! I found a spider casualing crawling over mine about 2 weeks after I bought it!

I found a monster running about my house last night, was too big to even climb the wall. I got the hoover for it and it was hanging on for dear life at the end of the nozzle, had to whack it off the ground a few times to shake its grip

I hate spider season. I'm currently being held hostage by a massive spider on my stairs even the dog took one look at it and ran away.

"Kill them with fire.

The phrase you're looking for is "vicious, sadistic, misanthropic cunt".

Or misunderstood friend who catches the real nasties like flies and aphids. Show a couple of huge ones in the poly tunnel today!

I was referring to myself, not the spiders.

Seen a few daddy long legs in the house. Big un's are the females. Smaller ones are the males looking first for love and second to not be lunch.

Traffic land

I quite like spiders. Although I wasn't really a fan of the fat, shiny false widow that scuttled across my duvet last week. My daugter is now looking for "swidows" every night

Daddy long legs however, I'm not keen. But since the departure of the adult male in the household, I have to remain calm, catch them and release when inwardly I want to screech like a banshee because the dipshits will fly in to your face

I catch them in my hand and throw them out of the window. Perhaps I should become a professional spider catcher.

Spiders are afraid of conkers, place one or two by each window or door and spiders won't come in the house.

I think it has to do with smell, but am too tired to google it. If you do, can you post the reason in this thread?

Google says it's not true.

Manchester

Step daughter had me up for half an hour in the early hours this morning after an admittedly pretty big one crawled over her foot. She was hyperventilating the poor girl. Had to turn the bleedin' lounge upside down trying to get. Got it and found another 2 whilst searching
