Is it just me, or does anybody else think that opera music sounds like whaling injured people???

There's no words just insescent, painful and loud screeching.

Traffic land

Some of it makes me

But other pieces can reduce me to tears (with emotion, not ear pain)

Some of it I like.

Not a fan though - I have to admit that there is a lot of music that makes my ears bleed and it's usually shit by coldplay or someone equally as whiney!

Central

It's worth getting more into it, so that you know the story being told. The music doesn't have to be divorced from the full drama, that you could experience.

A lot of opera is very moving and has stole the test of time.

Like most music genres, some of it I do, some of it I don't.

Some opera music is ok, but be warned they lure you in, then spend 4 yours screeching at you with 2 songs that are ok, and the entire back story is that she was forced to marry him cos their dad wanted a loaf of bread, or she loved him but he died in a bread related accident.

Bit like the hobbit movies taking 3 hours for 30 pages of story...

Paisley

I enjoy movie music if it is classical as it usually spins part of the tale but symphonies and the like are not really something that I enjoy

Braveheart theme....LOVE that!

The Tantric Tea Shop

Grrrr!

Ok it's like any form of music, some good, some bad, I love it but hate some productions and would never go and see some works

'Dein ist mein Genzes' - beautiful!

And Shawshank Redemption, the prison yard scene, where Andy Dupres locks the wardens door and plays Sull Aria, that aria made the scene.... its all about understanding...I appreciate if folk do not have time for that, I am the same with modern jazz
