I done as well as expected 7 GCSEs and my highest marks where Bs, these days the kids seem to be getting A+ across the board, exams got easier or did I just not pay enough attention at school

Livingston

I wasn't too bad when getting mine, my daughter was a nervous wreck though when she got her O Level results a few weeks ago.

She got a B for English and a C for Maths (not bad for a 14 yo). She will sit those as Highers in 4th years this year along with the rest of her O Levels.

mines that long ago now i can't even remember what i got but i do remember it didn't matter what i had got as i was already sorted to go on my YTS course for hairdressing so i wasn't nervous

would find it hard now though to fill in an application form asking my results as i genuinely have not got a clue other than my O level biology was a C as that shocked the life out of me i hadn't even tried and then it made me mad at myself as i then knew had i put the effort in it could of easily been an A just purely for self satisfaction as it had absolutely no bearing on my future career path

LOL, I remember the same with Biology O level. I didn't even want to take it, but if you took Domestic science you HAD to take Biology. I had not interest in it at all and did no revision. But something must have stuck as I got a grade B.

9 years ago I enrolled on what I thought was a French improver class, turned out it was GCSE. I took and got an A+. I then went on to do an A level and got a grade A. AT school I was told I was rubbish at languages lol
