Your body hang-up

If we're honest there's always something we don't look about our own bodies. Something that makes us choose our clothes more carefully to hide it, or make up to disguise it.

The good news is that even models and premiership footballers feel the same despite rigorous diets and endless time in the gym. Models are particularly sensitive about their body faults and while footballers have the body of a Greek God they often have the face of a ferret and the personality of the winner of last years Mr Twat competition.

So you're safe to be honest here, what's yours?

The general podge. That's my hang up. Other bodily foibles are mildly irritating but the podge is something that is proving hard to shift and infuriates me at times.

Also everything above my tie dissapoints me

Could do with being more toned but that's more an observation than a hang up.

I would love bigger boobs and don't like my op scar lower tummy actually don't mind the scar it's the slight dip below it that bugs me but generally comfortable in my own skin

I hate that I'm so hairy (always was, even before testosterone), but life is too short to keep getting rid of it

I need a tummy tuck to raise my penis but I can't afford one, and, to be honest, I've had enough of having surgery! So that screws up losing weight as it will only sag more if I do. Ah well, could be worse

As the OP I feel it's my responsibility to make sure everyone in my thread is looked after.

To all the women here - you've got absolutely nothing to worry about, you look fantastic. To the blokes - fuck knows, but you're probably no worse than me.

Be more Zen-like and practice acceptance, the worry won't do you any good

My tummy (Mrs)

It seems the majority of us have one hang up or another, but luckily, one person's hang up is another one's treasure.

What you dislike about yourself other people often don't even notice or indeed find attractive

Hiding in the shadows

Nothing!

I've got flaws, parts of me that are from perfect, I've had 3kids,2 by CS. Stretch marks, scars & little wobbly belly along it.

It's taken a long time, but I can now look on the mirror & see those flaws, for what they are & what they created.

And I'm bloody proud of them.

Of course I wish I had a tight size 10 20yr old body.

But I'm 42, size 16 with loads of wobbly bits.

I'm fine with it.

Some of the most miserable times in my life were when I was trying to be a size 10 - wheen my genetics and eating habits want me to be a size 16!

So fuck it!

I'm too old to care!

I've had hang ups about my body for most of my life, thanks mostly to my mum (bless her!)

Stretch marks at 11! Tiny boobs. Until my early 20's I struggled to reach 7 stone. I had to buy kids clothes, had my wedding dress specially made as in those days under a size 10 was impossible to get.

Through my 20's and 30's I had various things I didn't like. I had two kids and my weight fluctuated.

By the age of 39 I'd ballooned to a size 16 and was very uncomfortable in my own skin. I did something about it and am now happier than I've ever been. I'm a size 10-12 have boobs I am proud of. My arse and legs are pretty good for an old bird . Couldn't give a damn about my stretch marks now. The only thing that troubles me now from time to time, is my tummy! Don't think there is much I can do about it at my age plus I love cake!!! .

Take me as you find me or don't take me at all!!!

Recent experiences have taught me to be thankful my body works properly, and not to get caught up in superficial vanity stuff.

There and to the left a bit

I probably feel the most comfortable with my body shape right now than I ever have - sure it's not perfect and I'd like to lose my gut but having been a skinny rake until my mid-twenties and then ballooned to look like I was the first pregnant male until 2-3 years ago - losing over three stone in the last two years has me looking and feeling a lot better about myself than I ever did before.
