What I mean is wether you think there is or isn't a clique there has been such a huge response to the question it can't be easily brushed aside with a simple 'yes' or 'no' with a reason to follow.

I'd given my thoughts on it as 'no there is not but people are more friendly with others' or words similar.

People blatantly ignore replies to their own thread and replies at time and reply instantly to others, consistantly.

This perhaps leads some to think there is a clique.

Hope you understand what I ment earlier

My thoughts on it.

I think it exists in the minds of the ones who think they are in one...and the ones who think they aren't in one.

I post quite often and have a banter with a few on here but I don't think it is a so called clique...as the banter gets near the knuckle at times.

There is also people I enjoy reading on here...and also people I wish would just bugger off as I have taken a dislike of sorts to them...as plenty will feel the same about me.

There are people who avoid my threads and stay away...I do the same!

I have made some threads on here where I have replied to every single post...but that is not always possible as it is time consuming...but I do try to apologise when this happens as I do not exclude on purpose.

Unless it is someone I specifically do not like.

So summing up...not a clique just as in life...people we like or dislike.

Just my thoughts

This was my response on thread one - which I posted after the thread closed!:

I don't think there's a clique as such - but as in every group there are the 'popular kids in class' who seem to get far more attention than others and have a following of sycophants! Everything they post will get agreed with/commented on and there seems to be an orderly queue to crawl up their arse!

As at school - I'd say I'm more in the middle ground - about half of my posts might get commented on - the other half ignored! This only bothers me if I feel I've made a particularly valid/salient point and put a lot of thought into it!

Generally speaking I don't use the forums as a means of getting attention. I'd say those in the so called Clique are the ones who use fab primarily for the forums rather than meeting/socialising and thus might feel the need to get a lot of attention on here - perhaps for some kind of validation? Who knows?
