I've not weighed myself, but i do know i got a xxl high vis vest at my new job in march, which was tight as fuck. I said i think i need a bigger one and was told not to worry i'll grow into it. Now i can pull it out at the front like one of those chaps advertising slimfast or something. 2 maybe 2 and a half stone off possibly...maybe more, who knows.

half a pound - teeny total of 4 and half pounds in 4 weeks - slow work is this - been really good apart from one chippy dinner when we took residents to st annes for an outing a couple of weeks ago and a chinese the other night with my son - least in the right direction

Ok I'll do this. I'll start on the 1st of October - as well as being a special day it's the start of dry month for me so as good a time as any. Target 1 stone by Xmas

It could be a bad time as from past experience when I stopped drinking. .I bloody craved sugar

I've lost 9lbs since the beginning of the month. Been taking advantage of sober October to kick start me into action and this week have been doing the chemical diet (lose a stone in a week). It's not for the long term but it gives me the massive boost I need to get me on the straight and narrow. For the rest of time I'm doing calorie controlled set at 1200 calories a day which is achievable and works for me.

Sounds like new age psychobabble but one of the things my doctor told me paid dividends....don't say you're on a diet, especially to others, just you're eating healthily and don't go to the gym!

I wanna do this! Think I need to lose around 6kg. Was thinking of giving up sugar and dairy to begin with. Not likely to get to the gym. Any other suggestions?

Good bowl of porridge for breakfast to set you up and get your gut working. (no nationality stereotyping intended.)

The first week I followed a really strict chemical diet plan designed to lose a stone in a week - I lost 9lbs that first week. Then the next 2 weeks have been calorie controlled (1200 calories a day) I've been using my fitness pal app for this and it also tracks your sugar carb and fat intake. I've also been alcohol free all month.

Wow. That’s really impressive.

I’m thinking alcohol might be the source of my additional calories.
