No such thing as a best time to go but Autumn in the lakes if anything is better than summer. You'll love it!x" I live about 10 miles from Keswicknand it is beautiful in Autumn with thwbrustic look and if you get a clear frosty day there is no better place. End the day in an old pub with a real fire and some local ale ... I'd treat you xx | |||

And depending on timing you'll likely hit traffic at either top of M5, Stoke or Preston. Sorry to be negative | |||
