Take a copy of "Mirrorball" by Sarah McLachlan,,,,, it will have your emotions in tatters,,,, but OMG.... you will feel so good for it afterwards!!

PS.... there are only certain time's of the year I'm able to listen to it!... as it contains songs which a have such depth and meanings....

She truly writes and sings, with her soul bared wide open!!! as if she's trying to release the demons which keep her awake at night ,,,,,

Are you looking for songs to make you cry?

My Only Love - Roxy Music

Forever Autumn - Justin Hayward

~

If you want a really moving song, download 'Edge of Heaven' by Lisbeth Scott.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxULJcstk9o

The song is based upon letters sent and received between George Mallory and his wife before he was lost on Mount Everest. His body was found 75 years later and he still had his letters with him. Very moving.

Here's the lyrics:

~

Everyday I look beyond the endless sky and see you smile

Every night I dream that you are by my side

In the thousand frozen moments I have stared into your eyes

I brought you with me, all these miles that I have climbed

I brought you with me

~

On the edge of heaven, I will wait for you

On the edge of heaven, find me there

On the edge of heaven, stand with me my dear

And you will feel the end of time

And you will feel the end of fear

~

Like a breath upon the wind I have been tossed around my dreams

I don’t know how to find the words that could explain

But i do know every time I’ve fallen deep into the dark

I feel you with me like a fire in my heart

I know you’re with me

~

On the edge of heaven, I will wait for you

On the edge of heaven, find me there

On the edge of heaven, stand with me my dear

And you will feel the end of time

And you will feel the end of fear

Here's a bit of an oddball.. From the album, Rising Sand byt Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. It's a track called "Your Long Journey". Bouncy tune, but very sad lyrics.

Another little known track is from Kate Winslet! (Yes, THAT Kate Winslet!) The track is called "What If" and shows just what a multi-talented lady she is.

The Town by The Cross

This is the same song by different artists over the years Jo .....

All excellent versions.

You should put them ALL on the disc and see if people realise they've heard so many versions of it ...

The song it called ' I just want to make love to you' ( the ad )

The order I love them in ... is as follows..

1. Etta James

2. Muddy Waters

3. Rolling Stones 2003 live

4. Adele ( Jules Holland )

5. Foghat - studio version

6. Rolling Stones live 1964 ( They so improved at this song over the years )

Make a disc of them all jo xx
