So I (mrs) am not British and my accent is quite strong. I know some people like it and some don't but let me know what is your personal preference

I don't generally find foreign accents a turn on or off.

As long as we can communicate effectively that's fine.

I'm Scottish and can't always manage to communicate effectively. There's one guy at work and its like we're on satellite delay when we speak.

I quite like most European foreign accents, but when the general volume increases and voices are raised to overcome the noise most start to sound angry somehow.

I find Italian accents sound somewhat staccato after a while. German can sound a trifle abrupt and edgy somehow.

Nevertheless it doesn't stop me trying to adopt the accents along with the languages. In fact I have found that it frequently helps.

Now a Scottish accent is a turn on... as long as it's not broad unintelligible Glaswegian

I know what you mean, sometimes it sounds like an argument when in fact we're just having a friendly discussion it doesn't help that we nod for "no" and shake our head for "yes" my husband still can't get used to it after 12 years together

Accents are awesome. I have a generic Scottish accent, a mix of Central belt and highland. I am a fan of a number of accents. Southern American always gets me though :D

Depends on the accent!

If it was North Korean and saying 'bend over and let me take you up the ass or I will fire a nuke towards your home town!'I think I would find a cowardly excuse to avoid a meet and block them!

I can do Stoke, Public school, South African and Irish all convincingly.

My boyfriend quite likes the rolling Rs of the springbok, but I always end up being told to shut up when I inadvertently start using the other C word.

Hmmm. I wonder how different I would sound to you from a Texan. I personally can't stand the southern U.S. accent.

Well, being from Texas, I have a southern twang. But I have worked to mellow it out. I think the Welsh accent is hot, as well as the Irish.

When I was younger, I travelled alot in the Navy and found that some accents are a definite turn on while others are a big turn off (like Russian)

All down to personal taste I guess in the end

So by way of enlightenment and education which country are you from? I've encountered this "reversal" from Iranian friends but not elsewhere.

I've travelled a lot and must admit I love foreign accents on women. My last fwb was from Latvia and I found her accent a huge turn on but I'd have to say that my favourite would be girls from the Republic of Ireland....

Biggest accent turn off for me is Australian.
