Addictive behaviours are usually developed as a coping mechanism for anxiety, so if they work and they aren't detrimental, then they can be good. Unfortunately, most addictions tend to be destructive, so clearly too much of them is a bad thing!

Sex addiction can be one of the worst! Just think of all the dodgy people you could potentially meet in quiet places, or the diseases you could catch. Sex addicts tend not to care about these things if it blocks the behaviour.
