Do you ever check your mail filters? I only ever have the newbie one. But I updated my age range recently and it put a mail filter on to block anyone not in my range. I didn't know and didn't want the filter!!

I'd consider using a straight male filter if one were available, but if the truth be told I'm miss relentlessly mocking them when they message me asking to suck my cock ...

When I'm allowing new people to message me I usually have men only allowed and an age range, which changes occasionally.

When we first came to the site, we were swamped with fakes and pic hunters, not we just cut all that nonsense out.

We did it more to cut down on admin, which can be quite boring and not why we joined Fab

Blocked everything with a cock.

With 'wont meet smokers' being in Account Details, instead of Message Filters, I'm not sure if it is a functional filter, or just advisory for readers.

Blocking non-site supporters is a good way of substantially reducing the amount of mail we get. Our experience of the swing scene is that the majority of people who play actively, and attend parties and are generally into the lifestyle etc, tend to be site supporters. There will of course be a few that aren't, but we'd rather make that sacrifice than receive excessive messages from men who we would regard as 'chancers'.

Cos fakes who continually close and reopen accounts would have to keep paying a few notes each time. So a fake will more than likely be a none site supporter so we block them. If genuine people don't support the site, they lose out too.

Did you set the mail filter for age yourself? I updated the age range but the age filter went on automatically. I didn't set it. A newbie (returning forum friend) was trying to mail me but couldn't because of the age filter. She can now I checked my filters.

We used to not have any filters because I liked being able to talk to whoever wanted to message from the forums. But we got too many messages that way (mostly from men and couples out of our age range) and it got tiresome.

So now we have a ton of message filters on. Basically only the people we're looking for can message us (men/women/couples within our age range). We filter out newbies, people with no public pics, mm couples, and a few more that I can't remember.

It is a bit of a shame though because it was nice chatting to people from the forums more freely and not just on the rare occasions that I message first.

Sometimes it is nice to message someone privately about a forum post. Maybe just to have a giggle. But as someone said above the 90% of crap messages you recieve as a result of opening up your profile can make it a bore. I guess its another fab numbers thing. You weigh up the pros and cons.
