Sarah And I have been making Gin for quite a few years now.

We've just finished a bottle of Lavender and botanicals, it's totally amazing.

What's your views on gin?

Get thee behind me temptation! Will need to extend the house at this rate to fit all the different types I'm accumulating!

Do you distill or more mixing it?

I went to a local county show on Monday and Silent Pool were there (they're pretty local to me) and I bought a beautiful new glass (and a few gins to christen it with!)

We have around 50 different manufatured types!

We did distill to begin with, and still do now and then but it's a bit of a mission to be fair.

We generally now use Vodka as a base spirit and add botanicals etc.

I love gin, and Sipsmiths in particular. I've never tried Lavender so am ignorant, but I fear it may taste like taking a swig of my bath oil...

Ahh ok. I'd wondered about having a go at distilling, mainly because I'm a geek! I don't think many people realise that most gin is essentially "flavoured" vodka.

Bathtub Sloe gin, lemonade and a slice of orange or Tanq 10, tonic and lime are a couple of faves at the moment. The rhubarb one is nice, bit sickly though.

I love Tanq 10, it's one of my favourites. I like Edinburgh gin rhubarb and ginger, I keep it in the freezer and it's lovely

You have to be a bit more precise when distilling, that said we just did a bit of research.

We have one we take to meets sometimes called love potion. Rasberries, rose petals and botanicals. The roses and rasberries make it really pink.

I'm slumming it tonight with Lidl's Hortus summer gin, with tonic, a slice of orange and a stick of cucumber. It was recommended and is really lovely.

That's the one! Edinburgh rhubarb and ginger, I can do one and it's nice but gets a bit sweet towards the end. Might not have been mixed right. Yep, all gins in the freezer, cool and thick!

I shouldn't drink it in clubs.

It makes my bottom sore

Lucky lady! I'd like to be able to stay on it.

Start with a couple of large ones, then switch to beer and/or vino
