I've had the good stuff once. It was lovely. Like a salty little sea ball that explodes in your mouth. I've also had the cheaper roe stuff. It was alright, but not something I'd make a beeline for again.

delicious with ice cold vodka shot, blinis and sour cream.only had it once ..but the cheapie stuff is pretty nice too..

I quite like the lump fish caviar as well and that's cheap by comparison so maybe give that a bash on a thin cracker, with some prosecco.

But true decadence is vodka and balugar (can't spell it)

The term eating caviar has a different meaning in certain taboo fetish terms . I can imagine the taste wouldn't be too dissimilar to the taste of fish eggs , but being vegetarian I've never tasted the it . Nor have I any inclination to taste the other tbh

They'd eat cat crap if it had a fancy name.

Im told the beluga fish is cut open to get tbe eggs then dumped overbosrd so not environmently friendly either

its called a sturgeon, the beluga is the roe..it isnt harvested till the fish are several years old and the rest of the fish is sold for eating..no need to throw it away as its worth money...very carefully monitored nowadays which is why true beluga is so expensive.
