a tinny of Scrumpy Jack, and bloody lovely it is too.

It's been a lovely day here in Cornwall, quite sunny and warm and I've been waiting all day for a beer or a cider.

Anyway, it's half past eight and way past opening time, so I've given in and got a cold 'un from the fridge.

What are you having?

Our niece did a tandem sky dive today for charity, at Perranporth.

If I'm drinking cider, it's got to be decent stuff.

I've never been a fan of pear cider, or any of the ones that have another accompanying fruit.

I love a bit of scrumpy though.

It's great with a cheese and ham ploughmans lunch on a warm summers day

Ahh, another guy who doesn't like beer or larger..

I love to dring cider as well, but not as the new current trendys drink it! Cider always used to be served at room temperature, but that Magners crap changed it into what would once be called a "yuppy drink"!

The problem with chilling any drink is it dulls the taste, that is why Americans have theirs almost like ice! Give me a cider at room tremerature, in a pint mug and a crusty roll filled with Cheddar cheese, pickle and English mustard!

No doubt you`ll both be feeling really sorry for me drinking pints of "dry" from the cider tent at the Great Dorset Steam Fair in a fortnight`s time! It nicely numbs the mind for a few hour`s more walking and the long journey home (a couple of miles).

A good walk wont hurt you mate. We regularly walk to and from the next village which is two and a half miles away to sample the pubs wares, lol.

I'm not a big cider drinker, usually only in the summer. I like a nice ale or bitter, and St Austell Brewery's "Tribute" is my tipple at the moment, as it has been for the last couple of years.

We've got a decent keg cider down here called "Rattler" that's a bit tasty in more ways than one.

It's not a scrumpy but then again it's not like a commercial cider either, but 4 pints of it and you forget who you are, where you are and why you're there. Just like proper cider is supposed to be

Don`t forget I`ll have been walking round the Steam Fair for around 10 hours dragging a trailer with all of the "usefull bits" I`ll no doubt have bought before the walk home!

Now I`ve had St. Austell Tribute before and liked that! I`ve also got to wade my way through a bottle of Cornish Mutiny from the Wooden Hand Brewery in Truro! My local Tescos seems to be having a bit of a Cornish beer spree at the moment although they`ve had Cornish Rattler in bottles for some time! Hasn`t that got ginger in it?

lol, not sure about the ginger, I've not seen the recipe and my taste buds aren't refined enough for me to detect if it has or not.
