Only a third crossed out? You're doing well!

Yeah that always surprises me.

I've met and lost touch with a number of people in a non fab related way over the last few years.

I left my previous job last June and only kept in touch with one person just as an example.

Never been any good at keeping in touch.

Have moved on and jettisoned whole collections of friends and colleagues.

Variety is the spice of life.

I did the same in January and removed over 70% of names and addresses; from the emails section, over 50% went too!

It's so easy to build it up into one BIG long list, over the years.

I know what you're saying Miss Lightson, I had an address book from years ago that I had written phone numbers and where they lived. About 95% of them are uncontactable now, either that or they are avoiding me

Nostalgic.

..and the memories attached to them.

Moving on is the suitable word.

I've had this, after two significant life changes, the break up of my marriage and the loss of my Dad (happened within 6 months of each other). The hardest was not transferring my Dad's address in to the new book. Haven't been able to delete his numbers from my phone though. Funny old world.

I have to say, that both events showed me who was important and those that were there for me and my kids and I have to say it wasn't always who I expected. I made some losses and some gains, all for the better

a fair few were mums of kids school mates - some were mates of a past partner - some old neighbours - kids now grown up and working -

I've lost touch with a lot of people since moving from Manchester to London. I suppose it's just the natural changes of life.
