Now watching films that came out in 1983. Recommend me some.

Will list my favourite 1982 movies soon.

Takes me two months to watch 40 films 'per year' and I started in 1915. Won't catch up to modern times for another decade!

Do a forum search for the other years starting from 1977.

The Big Chill had an all-star cast in their early days: Jeff Glodblum, Glenn Close, Kevin Klyne, etc.

Of the ones I found in a search, The Right Stuff, Local Hero and Rumblefish would be my faves.

And when you get to 1982, Koyaanisqatsi.

Scarface would be my favourite from that year.

Then you have return of the jedi and cujo.

And I've never seen it but Wargames is supposed to be a bit of a classic

Aberdeen

Blue Thunder

Christine

Class

The Hunger

Krull

Never Say Never Again

Octopussy

Return of the Jedi

Risky Business

Superman 3

Trading Places

Videodrome

There's also Nicole Kidman's first movie, but it's a terrible low budget kid's flick that wasn't much good even back then. If you're aware of it, it might give you a nostalgia burst, but it's hard to recommend BMX Bandits as one to watch.

Koyaanisqatsi and it's sequel I forgot, so thanks. Jedi for sure. Only seen it 78 times. For real.

"Koyaanisqatsi and it's sequel I forgot, so thanks. Jedi for sure. Only seen it 78 times. For real."

There was a third in 2002, "Naqoyqatsi: Life as War," though by then people were probably sick of lingering shots of landscapes and timelapse clouds.
