little house on the praire

As promised

So you have to post a song, you can post more than one but just one at a time. That has some significance to your life. It would be good if you could tell the story to the song, but dont feel as though you have to.

Happy posting

I read about him and his struggles with racial prejudice at a time less accepting..

Well ive thought long and hard about what i did and didnt want to share.

The song ive choosen is a pretty sad but also has great positivity about it.

Im a strong believer that noone has a worse life than anyone else, we all have tradgedy and we all have exceptional wonderful things happen. Just everyones are different.

The song i have chosen i chose because the first time i heard it it was like someone had completely described mylife between the ages of 18-22 and yes i believe i am the strong woman i am because of those years

Bright Eyes by Simon and Garfunkel- its the theme to the only film I remember going to with my mother, as a small child. Very poignant.

Britney Spears - Im not a girl not yet a woman

Kinda self explanitory lyrics. I'm young, used to think i knew a lot and then realised i know pretty much nothing. Sometimes i feel very independent and then often want to just call my mum and rant about how ive fucked up.

Life doesnt always go my way, but i'll get there in the end

T Rex 'ride a white swan'... for the reason that Marc Bolan was a beautiful man and you don't have to be macho to fit in.

believe me, when you ain't, it can be a bit of a challenge at times especially school in the 70s

The Rose - sung by Don Williams

First song Rhett uploaded for me that said how he felt my life was wasted at that time before we got together. It was true I was, now I am not. Still get a tear in my eye when I hear it

Just before my late father went overseas on active duty he gave my mum an album, she played it all the time after he was mortally wounded and subsequently died of his wounds.

I still have the album, all be it dog eared and beat up....this track meant so so much to mum and remains one of my all time favourite recordings.

Al Green....

How can you mend a broken heart

Just had a little cry....which is very rare for me.

When Mum died the album was the ONLY thing I wanted from her house, however my lovely brother gave me dads medals for my fortieth birthday....I barely remember him but no-one could ever be more proud of their father.
