Besides deviant art, does anyone know any websites I can post pictures of my artwork up to see if people appreciate it?

I have no instagram account and am wondering if this is the best choice?

Instagram is ideal. Follow artists you like and use around 7 or so hashtags. I still get likes and comments on posts from months ago!!

Instagram or twitter are pretty good for that sort of thing.

We run work accounts for my imagery sharing. Keep it fresh and current and you'll build an audience.

There's one called Flickr, I'm not sure what you can/can't put on it but I know people who put their photography on it.
