What's wrong with the world...

So,early last week I go out for a late night McDonald's run. See a person lying on the grass verge face down by the side of the road. So I pull over, get out and shout across to theme with no response. So I go over panicking thinking there's something serious going on, get down on my knees to see if they're alright and smack. Had my head kicked in on the spot. Can't even remember much of it. Managed to get back to my car (fuck knows how) and sped off, only to have to pull over a few hundred meters down the road where I fell asleep for a fair while. 4 hours later I'm seen in a&e, 2 black eyes, both swollen near shut, eyelid torn straight through, teeth through my lips and one of them sent wonky. To top it off it seems my eyesight is now affected and I might have a detached retina. All because of trying to help someone out. Seriously what is wrong with people?!

A box at end of your bed

Sorry to hear this & Hope you get sorted out soon it just dose not pay to play the Good Samaritan these days. Sad to say I think things will only get worse.

But this just seems to be the way of the world these days no one give a shit about anyone, anything be if people property, animals whatever. These days it seems like everyone is only out to look after one thing him or herself and get money any which way they can. This is why we are all driving about in cars fitted with dash cams live in a house fitted with cameras and stat of the art alarms.

The person on the floor attacked you?

I pulled over for a body, in a parka, laying in a water-filled gutter, on a very rainy night. It was an old lady who was d*unk and had fallen down, unable to get up. I had to get her neighbour to help me get her in her house, where I took her coat off and went upstairs to get her night wear and bedding, so she could sleep on the sofa. I could have been a not so nice person who ransacked her while I was up there, for all she knew.

I would still stop to help anyone laying on the pavement.

It's not what's wrong with the world...

It's more why some people everywhere are so disconnected from their humanity that they will treat others so badly...

Sorry for your troubles OP and wish you a speedy and full recovery

Sounds similar to a method used to steal cars.

Late at night, helpless person needing someone to pull over then things like this happen and you're car is gone

Sorry to hear this happened

That's sooooo bad, you need eyes in the back of your head these days.

I'd of stayed in my car and called the police. Recently I've liked our local papers page on fb, there's always stuff going on so I'm extra cautious atm.

Currently someone is going around mutilating cats and leaving the bits on the owners doorstep.

Hope you have a speedy recovery with no lasting damage

The world is what it is and most people are good.

Sadly there are not so good people too, and you've had the great misfortune to meet one

Really sorry to hear that. Indeed the world is becoming a shitty place to be when kindness is met with abuse. Wishing you a full recovery mate.

Btw I hope one of the lovely ladies on here offers you some cake. It can only make things a little better for you.

Hope you get better soon.

It seems as if every week there is a new way that people are getting targeted, Facebook is littered with different ways idiots are luring people away to get hurt or injured and if you are a woman sexually assaulted.
