Hello probably not the best place to put this but I'm very interested in becoming a paramedic and would like some advice on the best way to go about it I've googled it and know my options which are either uni or on the job as a student paramedic but I don't know which is the best way to go about it any help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

You have to go to university as it's now degree level. Try going in as an EMT first and go down that route.

My friend is a paramedic and another training. Both had to go through, but do placements at the same time, a bit like a nursing degree. It's long hours, tiring and challenging. You have to be able to tolerate what you'll put up with, you need to be strong mentally and physically and be prepared for all that is thrown at you.

If you haven't done college within the past 3 years I believe, then you will need to do an access to higher education to get on to the degree, as well as maths and English GCSE if you haven't got them.
