Now, being a photographer I can take a good photo. I often tweak tones, crop etc to make them look exactly how I want.

How much editing do you do, and how much would you say is acceptable?

Other than a good angle and sometimes a filter then nothing. I have seen some really badly photo shopped pics and just think what's the point if you're going to actually meet someone? I worry enough that I won't look like my pics as it is!

I know what you mean about the worrying, I am the same. I haven't resorted to photoshopping and wouldn't for that very same reason

We'll crop the background and either chop off our heads or use a blur/ tile filter to cover faces, tattoos etc.

Might change to black & white or sepia and add text.

That's it.

I've seen some photos where guys hold the remotes a foot or so further away to change the scale in comparison, as if that will fool people!

Virtually all my photos have some minor adjustments and my most common changes are a little bit of colour correction and removal of unfortunately positioned light switches and powersockets(I seem to be an expert and getting these lurking in the background of my shots).

I don't have an expensive camera with Photoshop inside to take flattering skin tones, so I restore some colour and take the background out, because it's all about fabulous me, not what's behind me.

Colour adjustment and cropping is fine. If you're drawing on a fake Hitler moustache and giant bunny ears, that's going too far.

Lighting, angle, slight cropping and breathing the fuck in for the 10 second timer does the trick I find sometimes

"I crop out my head. "

.

I use the timer from my cheap cam.

So, I crop, black&white, change brightness/contrast (esp when the background is bright), blur certain unwanted images (faces/tats) and add watermark.

Then i send to Peter Jackson to make me look decently ok.

We crop some of our photos and have changed some to black and white. Other than that they are all natural and a true reflection of ourselves.

I can't be arsed to do all that. I take a few pics in similar poses, pick the best and chop my head off. Job done

I find it impossible to take proper ones of myself. I can never find the right angle or lighting/shade etc.

Other than that all I would do is crop the head and cock out.

Cropping, some saturatin/contrast fixing (b&w) and some face blurring is all we'd do.

I'd love the only editing that people did to be crops to ensure that the majority of the body shown in their pics is their own - not someone else's. Too many people have what are supposedly them in their pics where they are about 20% of the flesh on show - they should be as close to 100% as possible - we don't need to see people who we will never meet.

Crop and filter... I might be tempted to do more if my phone allowed me to lol, but aside from colour/brightness tweaking thats my limit. All my rolls, wobbly bits and thunder thighs are out there for all to see

Editing is cheating.

All I do is crop off Channing Tatums head and copy mine on. I think that's ok isn't it?
