I have spoken to two single women on here now and they have both wasted my time. I went out brought wine to entertain and things and they chat for days and say yes so I arrange everything and then let u down and block you

"I have spoken to two single women on here now "

Spoken as in a real conversation or messaged via here?

If the later; 'tis the interweb - anyone can be anyone.

Meeting a silhouette is a daunting prospect. Who wants to meet a guy with no eyes, no nose, no mouth?

I guess 2 bad experiences make it fine to label all women as timewasters...

I wonder if their sides of the stories differ from yours or not?

How did they 'let you down'? If they cancelled and let you know, they haven't wasted your time. Life sometimes gets in the way or something was said/done that changed their minds. No one here has to go through with a meet, just because they said yes in the beginning.

If they didn't let you know, you can report them to admin as a 'no show'. It could also be 'men' portraying themselves as 'women' to get their kicks.

Did they tell you they couldn't make it? Were they valid reasons?

There seems to be a lot of these threads, I still haven't been let down or cancelled myself so far.

You can tell if you talk or message enough if the other party will turn up.

Ask yourself, did you rush into it?

Did they seem genuine?

Was it I'm gonna do this, you can do that, from early in the messages! (Normally a catfish guy then)

Oh and you had a bottle of wine..... Bonus. At least you can have a drink and try form some new friends on here.

Only if it's a single guy doing it, if it's a single lady that's their prerogative

Changing ones mind is allowed but let's be fair, stringing someone along and taking the piss out of them is a tad unfair I think. Sounds as if this.could be the latter

I see nothing wrong with changing yr mind (women and men) even at the last minute, however it doesn't take too long in letting someone know ..

I'd agree but I'm assuming that this isn't how most people operate.

I wonder if it was just bad luck that two people had to cancel or if things were assumed to be more certain than they actually were.

If one person repeatedly fails, it's also worth them looking at how they're operating, to see what they could change.

It seems to happen a lot but I don't like threads like this as you only ever hear one side of the story. If your just chatting on here and this happens then hey ho, you weren't for them for whatever reason. You time is only truly wasted if you travel to the venue and get a no show with no contact from them. I never let anyone do this to me as I'd meet in a public place like a coffee shop locally where I'd be anyway on my break or in town shopping, I'd always swap phone numbers and have a chat beforehand also.

"There seems to be a lot of these threads, I still haven't been let down or cancelled myself so far."

I have, and its difficult to work out when it will happen. I've been stood up by long term, well verified paid members, as well as non verified, recently joined silhouettes. It happens, and you can deal with it, or let it spoil your time here.

Depends. You could be put off by something at the last minute in the conversation. While you should, out of politeness say "I've changed my mind" these types of threads may make you think it easier to block.

OP it is very annoying to be let down .. sometimes that can't be helped as we all have a real world we live in! I have had to let people down and been let down my self! .. but saying that we all know the internet is full of catfish .. and peoples motives for being here and what they want out of it are all very different..

So we must learn from our mistakes. And do some damage limitations!

Things to remember ..

Don't think with your dick ! He is good fun but he doesn't alwsys make wise choices.

If it sounds to good to be true it usually is!

Go with your gut instincts and listen to them.

Talk on the phone, cam or even better arrange a quick coffee before to make sure they are who they say that are.

Look at their verifications,

And read between the lines ..

Hope things work out better for you and good luck for the future Hx

It's not gender specific OP, anyone has the right to change their mind. But from chatting with my gal pals on here, it very definitely isn't just women who change their minds.

Dust yourself down, suck it up and put a smile on whilst you keep looking. No-one likes a sulky pants.

I'd imagine he sent some privately. Incidentally OP, did they block you after you did this??!

If they've messaged in time to say they've changed their minds / can't make it then it is what it is.

If they've just no showed & blocked after agreeing to meet at a certain time you can report them if you can be arsed to do so.

Either way it's beyond your control & really not worth giving it a second thought.

Only two? I was way into double figures pretty quickly, which is partly why I stopped meeting guys. It's not the cold feet I object to - I understand that they were turned on at the time but not when they woke up on the day of the meet - but they don't even have the decency to txt a lame excuse before I spend all the time getting ready.

Any act of arranging meets and then cancel (or change mind) and do not have the courtesy to inform the other party is time-wasting in my opinion.

Cancel away but at least inform the other party at least few hours before the time.

Maybe they didn't want wine, I certainly wouldn't. I don't drink alcohol and I would not meet a man who was drinking on a meet. No way would I want to meet and get d*unk. XXX

If they didn't message you to cancel and just didn't turn up, then I can see why you're annoyed/ frustrated.

That doesn't mean that all women are timewasters. I hope you have better luck next time.
