Went out for tea tonight, it was buy one meal, get the cheaper meal free....but as there were only 3 of us, we were wondering about the 4th meal.

We asked the waitress and she said we could order it!! So we got sausage and mash, which we packed into a lunchbox and took home for the dogs lol!! No one in the pub batted an eye lid!

The dogs loved it, but weren't struck on the peas!!

What do you do in that situation if there's an odd number of you for these meal deals?

little house on the praire

never thought about it as its usually an even number, but i would have either ordered the forth meal and put it in the middle of the table for everyone to pick at or did what you did.

I love these two for one meal deals i think there brilliant and a good way for people on a budget to go out to eat

Now that would make sense...Could have made a nice Bubble and squeek and had a nice fried egg and some bacon...Perhaps a scoop or two of baked beans bit of fried bread and some toast...Dogs eat anything and dont savour the finer things in life like a nice Sausage...

We normally share the odd meal between us. The 2 for 1 deals aren't the biggest portions. I normally take the lions share of the chips and leave the veggies to the kids

mmm now I fancy a 3 o'clock breakfast. Frankfurters, beans and fried eggs methinks, maybe add a few mushrooms too.

I'm off.
