...is apparently ruining my life! (Some learned person on a google search about the subject said it so it must be true!)

And I thought I was just really good at making myself do any stuff other than what I should've been doing

Do any of you luvverly fab folk find yourself putting off 'til tomorrow? (And then again the next day?) Or are you consistently getting shit done and dusted so that you have a clear run ahead of you?

I'm useless and getting things done. I have immensely good intentions but lack the motivation to do it due to the constant thoughts that go through my head that I'll fail at it anyway or it won't be as good/satisfying as I want it to be.

Nope, no procrastination here. Jump in, commit, make mistakes now and again but have a giggle getting there

I get to the point I'm gonna do it, build myself up and then deflate a lot of the time. As confident and cocky as I am I'm a self critical twat. Nobody could judge me more than I do.

Is that the same for work or serious stuff?

Fun and recreational activities are not a problem for me for going head on and getting sorted straight away (funny that innit?)

Pretty decisive at work and serious stuff too tbh. Don't often come unstuck, not got a bad educated gut instinct for things however it does make me particularly bad at office wrangling and politics. What you see is what you get with little in the way of veneer.

I had a bunch of work to do today. But then I read an article about a cuneiform tablet that has recently been deciphered and it got me inordinately interested. I've spent the day researching Babylonian numerics and trigonometry. Fucking fascinating, really.

At least I'm learning while I procrastinate.

I am the same. I think that's why I chose a stressful job- I need the pressure. I am incredibly lazy in private life ... the only thing that helps me at home is lists that I do at work when still in the swing of things of things that I have to do at home... but even that doesn't always work...

Well my job is not lacking in the stress department. And I am not lazy at home. It's just that I go out of my way to NOT do the thing that requires my attention. Even if the new activity is more strenuous or taxing!...
