The previous owner included some metal guitar picks which was a genius idea, the charge is sharp through those.
It's given us a taste for more, but as said the units with real punch are north of £350 | |||

"I bought a second hand one on a well known auction site a few weeks back. It's a lot of fun and the sensation is odd. We have rod I can put in my hand or belt and it allows the charge to run through me; this means the electric spark literally comes out of my finger tips when touching MrsPS's body

You can also get a flat conduct pad which is more effective than the rod. They can be picked up for around £20 and are well worth it. We would suggest all vintage wands should be checked by a qualified electrician if they haven't been fully restored. We know a brilliant small company who sell fully restored wands,obviously we cant mention them here. They are in cornwall and google is your friend x | |||

"Personally I use a beauty kit which has all the general implements and meets my requirements and cost £30. It does not look as good or have the finesse of a custom renovated kit." Yes you can get much cheaper versions but we would advise avoiding the Chinese imports as they are not good quality and we wouldn't use them. | |||

Plus a residual current device is essential when playing with any sort of mains electricity (Violet Wands or mains connected electrostim). You may be expecting a high voltage extremely low amperage experience but a poorly made Eastern European or Chinese unit with insufficient isolation of the mains and secondary circuits can be a bit of a disaster ...
