Getting stuff out is definitely good I reckon. If something is troubling you either sharing it with someone or writing about it always works for me. So I would probably say yes

A world of my own

Sometimes confessions are not required. You may come clean, ease your guilt but cause a whole world of pain. Sometimes it's best to just say nothing

OP it is never a good idea to keep things bottled up. However in some circumstances you can loose more... like you just said her friendship.

Good point LisaB! If one person developes more feelings like the OP has then being just friends won't work.

The alternative is to end friendship, which is really difficult to do though

I'm guessing yes. But others can get hurt if it's a painful one.... Kind of like passing the affliction on...

"I'm guessing yes. But others can get hurt if it's a painful one.... Kind of like passing the affliction on... "

I suppose that's why it's sometimes easier to tell a stranger, you know their distance from you is not going to burden them.

Op. Confessions do lift a load of your shoulders, but sometimes, it should be yours to bear.

I've carried secrets and anger for what seems an eternity , locking them in a box behind my defensive wall.. The wall of banta, jokes, smiles and bullshit that people expect.. My barriers , my wall to keep myself safe , thing is I locked to many away and ignored them, didn't fix or admit to my mistakes as simple or complicated as they were.. My box recently broke over whelming me with emotions of panic, guilt, anger... I've learned from my way of "manly" don't want to talk about it, that it all comes back and bites hard.. Don't worry about your soul, look after yourself, those that matter won't judge you, they'll make you a better stronger person for letting things go...

I understand what your saying. I know I want everyone around me to be open and share thoughts. But I also know how damaging to people's relationships confessing something that needant have been told.

You know that saying, what they don't know...? Sometimes I feel it's best. Not all the time I know, but sometimes.

The problem is what ever the dilema is good, bad or something completely random it's manifesting itself and growing in weight.. Talk to some one, there's a solution out there to ease your mind.

Oh I completely agree. And it is a good way to find out who your friends truly are, and those who no longer want to share a life journey with you.

Your advice is something I'd give to myself.

Can I request confession, just got started rubbing with plug in after new photoshoot made me all horny. The bloody doorbell rang and I had to go down two flights to get shitty parcel from the postman. But enjoy the plug all the way back up to finish off. So request absolution from the postie as I thought of should have dropped to my knees and finished on doorstep but selfishly I just sorted myself out.
